Good Morning Beautiful Souls….
How are you today? The sun is shining, the grass is beautifully green and the birds are singing, how blessed we are.
One of the insights I had whilst walking with Leia this morning was about the blessings Lockdown has brought to us.
In a world where we are duped into thinking, we need more, and we have to compete, consume and charge ahead, this lockdown has brought humanity a peace it hasn’t perhaps ever experienced before, nor will again, unless we all make a conscious effort to maintain this beautiful tranquillity.
We have seen around the world the amazing environmental impact of lockdown. Rivers becoming clean. City smog being eradicated, the ozone levels healing themselves. This shows us how amazingly easy it would be for us to reduce our impact on global warming.
As travel is now limited, the sky is clear and quiet. A tranquillity has descended upon the Earth along with an opportunity to see, that we are more than our possessions. This has helped many of us understand how perhaps all of us were completely deranged and out of control with our lives.
The consumerism that led us to consume more and more as a way of determining our sense of self, our sense of status, has been replaced by a deeper sense of being at one with what we all have.
Once we have shelter, food, clothes and our furniture, there is very little else we need. Walking in the forest I am reminded of ancient wisdom, worlds and dimensions that still exist, if we can make time for the silence and observe.
Walking today, I noticed how the rays of the sunlight shining through the trees made the dust sparkle magically. The rays of the light enabled me to see the cosmic energy, the essence of the forest around me and its beauty made me see everything with new eyes.
There is, in the tranquillity, a whole new way of existing. We have forgotten how many ancestors have had to live and die, in order for us to be born. We have forgotten how to exist in the simplicity of life, and embrace our beingness.
I love the words ‘go beyond’. When we go beyond our thoughts, when we go beyond our feelings, and we learn to just purely observe without attachment, the joy and simplicity of life is seen. When we die, we have to surrender everything, and yet, after surrendering everything, there we still are.
This lockdown is a beautiful gift of learning to go beyond what we were and are. When I use to read about the ‘ego’ I used to struggle to identify what it actually was. I used to struggle to imagine where it lived inside me and I struggled to understand how I could conquer it if I didn’t know what it really was, and where it resided.
During this lockdown, I have come to realise that our ego is our thoughts. A set of beliefs, values and judgements that we ‘believe’ give us our identity. However we are not out thoughts, we are not our feelings. If you observe without either you will see that you are a completely different dimension of consciousness.
I am now beginning to see that our ego (our thoughts) are what lead us to believe we are less than something/someone and that we are lacking.
Our thoughts keep us locked either in the past, or the future. When we try to observe without thought, our thoughts at first, begin to try and intercept the pattern of stillness. It will make us aware of a sensation in our body. It will try to distract us, but with perseverance, learning to observe everything without thought is how we remove our ego.
I was chatting on the telephone today with Martin Lloyd, and I was explaining about a dream I had last night. I was in the forest and I came across a woman and a stone circle. She told me that stone circles were created to hold the energies, the essence of what was unfolding. The stone circles held three magical rays. The ray of physicality where one is aware and observes the natural balance of nature. The rays of knowledge where the wisdom of the ages was passed from one soul to another. This wisdom helped everyone to see the inner realms and different dimensions of life that were around them. Finally, the devotional ray through which you cultivated a loving-kindness and compassion to all of creation. The ray of devotion was about developing a divine relationship and to see how seamlessly we are one. Each of these rays was accessed during different stages of the day. The first ray was accessed at 6am. The second ray at 6pm and the last one was accessed at midnight. So we have to solar rays and one lunar ray. A beautiful way to observe and interact with the different stages of nature and portals to otherworldly realms.
Our thoughts impede us from seeing the magical nature of life. Our thoughts inhibit us from interacting with the natural world around us. Yet, when you read stories of old, the magic is often found in the mystical lore, the landscape, and the rituals and our connection with the sky, earth, sea, sun and the moon.
The natural world inspires us. It reminds us of the wonder of life and how we are an integral part of life. A painter doesn’t paint an object, a painter paints the essence of something. Whilst we are still in lockdown, please give yourself the gift of observation. Find a place where you can experience the stillness in nature. It can be a potted plant, a garden, a forest, even a blade of grass.
Observe without thinking, watch the movement of the plant, the structure, its position, and at some stage, something very special will take place. Within the art of observation, a new dimension of reality will open up. An energy exchange where you can feel the essence of what you are observing will unfold and at that moment, you will have moved into a new world, a new dimension of reality.
By engaging without thought, you enable yourself to connect your essence, with elemental energies. Notice the range of colour, the depth of colour, how the light touches upon what you are observing.
I know I probably sound like I’ve taken some marijuana or LSD but I haven’t. When you can silence the ego (thought) a shedding takes place and the true ‘I AM presence’ comes forward. The more you do this, the more everything else is surrendered and released.
If you’d like to read more about my new realisations during the lockdown, then do comment below and I will write some more. However, for today, practice holding an awareness of how much your thoughts influence you and your day. Try to observe how much of your thoughts are on either past or future events thereby causing you anxiety, fear, worry or stress. When you observe, you exist only in the now and in the now is where you will find peace, joy and love.
Have a beautiful day.
